Could easily justify GT3

So I follow a 997 along the motorway the other day (naturally I kept up) and think; nice looking car. Lunchtime at work 10 mins to kill so I price it on the Porsche website....of course has to be a C2S so with bits prices out at £73K. Think wow for that money could have a targa 4 so I spec that comes to £76K. Think well that is GT3 money, so spec that and think wow only £81K and I could have a GT3...then of course come to my senses, but begs the question how to you buy a 997; which one do you go for and how much do you spent.

PS I don't want one - wouldn't want to step down from the Cayman - it just begged the question?

I sold my 997 C2 to buy a Cayman last year...

The only car that interests me is the new GT3. However, double the price for another 15% performance gain..just think what you could do with 40k..

well, it depends on what you want to do with the car. the 997 line has alot of different models for sure. GT3 = track car...not so great for a dd...thats what i have heard anyway, oh, and no kids in the back. C2S = great daily driver...at least for me it is and two extra little seats for the rest of the family.

There are 13 997's available in the U.S. with different options and styles for different driving applications or i guess more aptly put...different strokes for different folks.

I think of it more as different styles/strokes for different budgets, otherwise most 911 sales would prob. be GT3's and Turbos!
