Porsche Driving Experience invite

Just received my PDE invitation to Millbrook. It says 'a dedicated programme for Cayman S owners' - so hope to see some of you there!

No dates specified in the booklet - have to call to arrange...

If it's a true PDE, Porsche will provide the cars. If it's a Porsche Club DE, then you must provide your own ride.

I did an early version of PDE in the UK 3 years ago, in my own car. I know that since then they offered to supply a car at extra cost, and the european sports driving school use Porsche-supplied cars for some sections of the course.

The current PDE details on the Porsche UK web site say 'Training for the day is undertaken in your own Porsche which must be in a road legal condition'

The PDE brochure that arrived with the invite does state "During the programme, you will drive various specifications from the Cayman S model range". Suggesting that they provide the cars ?

Hi

I actually called the driving school the week before last and they told me it will be in their cars, unless you specifically ask to use your own, which is also OK.

I really want to drive my own at some stage in the day, as obviously different cars will handle differently, and I really want to find the limits of my own car in a 'safe' environment.

Can't wait.

Jack

Jack,

If you want to find the limits of your own car in a safe environment, can I suggest a day with Don Palmer - http://www.donpalmer.co.uk/carcontrol.htm

A good time to do this is shortly before you plan to replace the tyres
