Time To Say Goodbye

With a 6 month old daughter now kicking around I simply don't get the time to enjoy my Cayman S as much as I should.

http://www.caymanclub.net/classified...hp?product=239

This 16 month old example has only 8400 on the clock and remains in excellent condition.

Please get in touch if interested.

SP, Its an admirable and most understandable decision you made based on your focus of time with the family ! My hat's off to you.
Remember, Porsches, cars and all that "stuff' will be alwyas be around, but spending time with a child ( especially in their formative years ) is way more important and gratifying than anything this world has to offer ! So instead of feeling sorry for you i am quite envious and wish you Congratulations...Best to you and the family and i am sure you will return when the time permits !
Congrats again....

The good news is that there are plenty of child friendly fun cars out there
eg. M5 estate, RS4, C63 AMG
Or maybe a 997---got rear seats???
I read about regularly subjecting a toddler to abnormal G-force can lead them to have bigger neck muscle(Just like racing drivers) or even a higher IQ!!!
So the above cars are worth considering!

Keep in touch! Although you are selling your car, you are still a fellow car enthusiast!

A word from the wise: don't panic and buy a MPV/SUV/estate just yet. When SS7 jnr arrived the family car was a 911/964C4 with a roofrack and top box, and it did fine - its surprising how little baby kit you really need.

At least, it was more practical than the Caterham it replaced!

I`ve a 10 month old and a 4 year old... Kept the Cayman as the wife likes it so much...she must like a pose after all! So paid £4000 for a E430...bit of V8 grunt and 9 years old, I think you`d call it a retro drive. If you can afford/justify it just get another car...unless of course your hankering for a Cayenne, boy does that shift... you can get a really decent turbo for less than your Cayman, keep the change for fuel!!

I last filled her up on the 11th June. Since then I've done 120 miles!!! Most of those miles have been a case of going out for a burst simply to get things ticking over. The more and more traffic on there is on the road the harder it is to execute said burst!!

In order to get my fix I think I may get an old Elise or something just for trackday use!

We have a family wagon which gets used most of all, I just need a car to do the 11 mile round trip to work on the 160 days a year that I have to be at work.

Keeping the Cayman just to do those miles is crazy. And makes the miles very expensive ones.

When she's at school in a few years time I'm sure I'll come back to the fold. Petrol doesn't leave your veins that easily, does it?
