Took her for a brisk drive through some country lanes today, even without exceeding 5000rpm (too many times anyway!) she is a bundle of joy. Having never test driven one (as I am under 25...never driven any Porsche before actually) I was wholely unaware of what to expect, I could only compare to the Lotus Exige and Vauxhall VX220 (and my fathers old Mitsu Evo V before that). The Vauxhall and Lotus inspire confidence at every turn, are light and chuckable and in the right conditions incredibly fast....I had doubted the Caymans ability to match these cars for sheer cornering ability, but even at seven tenths this thing this dispelling any fears. Composed in the bends, brisk in and out and sublimely quick inbetween, I am relishing the torque (and the note) the Loti's Toyota 4 pot lacked.
Anyway I'll stop waffling.....here you go!
There are many more so when you get bored I'll upload a few others

The car is pretty filthy after todays drive, the wing mirrors are covered in brake dust, as are the wheels. The ABS and traction control have both kicked in today, I did find the ABS a little intrusive but I'll get used to it....the traction control, well I didnt need it on the Lotus or the VX but I dont think I will be turning it off in a hurry either. Did notice the yellow light flicker a couple of times
Hi Ramiel the interior is Black but i think the shots came out a little overexposed. RedRocket, there was a red Cayman in the dealership when I picked it up and it looked stunnnnning..aside from the roofrack and skis!
Rod, the mats are on the spec sheet but didnt arrive in time for delivery so they are on backorder, as are the Porsche keyrings, icing on the cake eh
A few more.....
Enjoy!!
Regards, Anthony
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.
