just had a quote from porsche for my insurance.

they quoted £1080.00 with £350 excess

no tracker needed

through norwich union

also this price includes 2 free trackday cover

valued at £131.00 each with the excess going up to10% or £5.500

you can also by more days up to a maximum of 5 in one year

sound pretty good to me

My best quote so far is with the RAC. The quote is based on 8,000 miles, and has quite a high voluntary excess of £1,100, but let's face it I'm not going to claim for less. I will have tracker fitted, have 3 points and an insured value of £49k - cost £537 which I think is absolutely brilliant !

How do you Brits deal with the 'turnabouts' in London traffic? My sister lives in Kensington and took me about in her BMW. I thought I was going to chew off her dashboard from mortal fear.

Hey I was quoted £738 fully comp. 36yrs old/£500 excess / tracker required / 3pts and full no claims and It included my wife aswell without paying extra...
it had free Porsche GB membership and it includes trackday cover etc...
The Scheme is endorsed by the Porsche Club GB.

I thought it was a great deal.

N.U. wouldn't insure me! Cheapest quote I have is Tesco's at just over £1200, 4 years NCB, 25 (at start date of policy in June), 15k miles per year, car valued at £53k.

Only problem - they don't insure for track use! Anyone know any other companies for young drivers??

Dan

Dan, that isn't bad. Mine is £1100 with Tesco, 33, 7y NCD, drive, Tracker.

But I am having to change because they wont insure track days, or driver instruction day with PDE (Porsche Driving Experience) that I have booked and paid for.

I tried NU directly and they were £1300 + additional premium and excess for driving day.

Porsche Insurance includes 2 track days (increased excess for those) £350 normal excess, £1100 premium and again that is with NU.

Finally tried www.performancemarque.comwho were £1200 with NU but stated that with 1 years experience of this class of vehicle they could have covered me with Royal Sun Alliance for a little over £700 including track days,Porsche club etc membership. That was a great deal, but a 330iSport didn't cover me for prior experience of this class of vehicle.

I am going with the Porsche insurance for now, and then will swap to the performance Mrques ins next year.

Jack
