Just noticed what appears to be a plastic release pull just inside the front wing / door hinge on the drivers (UK spec) door. Anyone know what it is or does, I decided not to pull it in case the engine drops out

just looked at your car on your public profile, and unless you've reversed the photo it looks like it's LHD as the tax disc is on the left?
Ahhhhhhhhhhh yes photo is reversed as the filler cap isn’t there

Be careful around the dang thing also.......it can fall out of its holding slot/hole and fall behind its holding baffle......don't ask me how I know......

10/10, yep, I reversed it - cars look 'better' going from left to right in photos, (or so I was told by my old art director many years ago ) - something to do with movement, and indeed it does seem to work. Well spotted eagle eyes
What ever you do, don't pull that release lever!! I did and now my passenger side door opens as a scissor door. I'm constantly getting asked by guys driving 350Zs and old Lambos where to buy the conversion parts. NOOOOO!
