I like to call it "little sports car" when talking to people who are not into cars. Kind of keeps people away from knowing that is a Porsche and passing any judgments. Even if I say "Cayman", most don't know what it is and don't ask any more questions.

There was a thread a while back and that was discussed. I refer to mine as a "her" as well, but I remember the majority of members here either thinking names were silly and referring to the car as a him. It had to do with it being a sports car. In the same thread, folks discussed Boxsters being referred to as a "her" because it was a convertible. I have not acquired all of my search skills from master Santa Fe, but I'll post a link to the ol thread if I can find it.
