PCGB Membership...........

It is noted that PCA (Porsche Club of America) members are Noted and Honoured alongside the members names / awards.

Should Not PCGB (Porsche Club of Great Britain) also be Honoured?

Ken, Any possibility of a way to list other national Porsche Club Membership Numbers? (Sorry that this gives you more work.)

We have a PC in the UK, had no idea (really), wonder why my main dealer did it mention it? And yes, why no link on forum?

There are currently 3 slots in your profile to add a club membership # into, PCA, POC and "Other" so you could put your PCGB member # into your profile in the Other slot.

As far as having an award or other items for PCGB that is really in the hands of PCGB. Some 18+ months ago I reached out to them offering to be their Registry (ala what we do for PCA) since we already have UK cars in our Registry and to host a forum (we have a UK forum but I could set up a sub forum just for PCGB members) etc. and I was politely (I think it was politely) rebuffed by some chaps on your side of the pond.

I am more than happy to establish closer ties with PCGB but that is going to take someone in charge in PCGB agreeing to do so from their end. If you know anyone in charge please direct them to me and I am happy to discuss options and opportunities with them, but they need to come to the party so to speak before we can do anything.

Perhaps like me (Wrong sort of Chap?), the Porsche Dealer did not want you to be a member? - Only Joking.............

However I just applied and became a member... now I have a write up in the Cayman Section every month - Because they think I know what I am talking about (more fool them) and I am the only one doing it....

Ken, I sent you a jpeg of the PCGB logo the other day. I think what Karel is asking is not for any more than can we show, that we are members by having our logo "medal" (the one I sent you) on our profile as you have your little PCA "medal"

Part of our tie to PCA is to help drive PCA membership in return we get things from PCA like insurance coverage for Croctoberfest events. Right now we don't get squat from PCGB and have no relationship with them, at all. Until we do, I'm not inclined to give out medals to members here who are PCGB members when the process of doing so is completely manual in the software and is a drain on my time or the time of a moderator. We did it for PCA because of our relationship with PCA, help me establish a relationship with PCGB and perhaps we can do the same. Someone in charge at PCGB can always reach me at webmaster at caymanclub dot net.
