New tips

I'm looking at changing the standard exhausts tips to something chrome to match the tubi. I've found two so far and wondered what everyone thought.

eBay Motors: Agency Power Dual Exhaust Tip 05+ Boxster Cayman 987 (item 180209286443 end time Mar-21-08 21:06:48 PDT)

Porsche: 987/Cayman Dual Style Bolt on Tip

Have to disagree on that point. The agency power ones do look aftermarket especially with that lip where the outer diameter tapers to meet the inner. Having seen a cayman with the tequipment tips , these look great as the diameter of the outlet is about 90mm which looks more agressive. They are also angled (slashback) so if you need to tilt the pipes up to sit snug under the rear bumper , they still keep the same effect. Good idea to get these or the RS60 boxster tips from the USA, try suncoast porsche in California over on renntech.org.

Are the RS60 boxster tips direct bolt on or is welding required? Suncoast Porsche, Audi, & VW: RS60 Exhaust Tip

If you do plan to get yours done - let me know and I will send mine along too - as together we will get a better price.

The easiest way to do this is exchange your stock one for a polished (looks chromed) or even a chrome plated tip from Boothe Design

Boothe Designs, Porsche parts and accessories, No-Turn Technology

You order the part you want, then you send back your stock piece for a core exchange. Beautiful work.

I did the exchange deal with Boothe Design on my 07 CS. Stock tip for chrome tip. Have had it on the car for over a year & still looks like new. Ralph does quality work.

Many Thanks,

But this is a UK (England) Thread -

As much as we admire Booth Design and their work - it is not cost effective to send our bits over to the US and back again.......... The postage charges, taxes and such are prohibative.

Our Vintage Motorcycle Chrome Platers are local to us, and are capable of equally good quality work.
