TPMS standard in UK cars ?

I've read numerous times on this site that TPMS is standard on an 07 or later Cayman. My CS was delivered in December and according to the log book is the 08 model, but I don't have TPMS.

Is this something I should have got, or is it not a standard fit for UK spec cars ?

I am pretty sure TPMS is a cost option in the UK.

It is standard in the US as we have lots of stupid people and they never check their tires so we have to make a law so they don't have to. But with no spare tire its nice to have. I fitted a aftermarket setup for the piece of mind.
