SPA 21st & 22nd July

Hi Chaps

Anyone going to Spa on 21st and 22nd July? This is likely to be my very last outing in the Red Devil this year (on the assumption it gets sold afterwards!). It would be good to see fellow Caymans out there....

Terry,

I am planned to be racing in Brno (Czech Republic) for a few days - invitation by my Dealer/Customer who races a BMW M3 at this time. (He is even organising Slicks/Rims for me!!!!! - So I can drive over/back on my road wheels)

Maybe see you at the ferry port - keep in touch...............

There is a possibility I will be going to SPA on those dates

I was discussing with my father the possibility of him coming round Castle Combe on a track day and he was quite enthusiastic, I mentioned the SPA trip and he was equally enthusiastic and said he would stump up a good portion of the cost

I am now investigating costs for the trip, and will make a final decision during next week.

True, assuming we have fuel for Anglesey

Biggest question is how long will my brake pads and tyres last

If you are running Stock Pads - Probably not very long before they crumble on the track, and I would definately get real track pads for Spa - Mine were destroyed in one day (200 miles) at Bedford......

I'll bring some pads along (EBC YELLOWSTUFF) - If necessary you can ask Allan's Mate Jim to Change them...........

What Tyres are you using?

I am using the standrad 19" Bridgstones at the moment.

I will see how they look after Anglesey and decide if I need to get a new set before Spa. If I do, then Imight look at a set of 18" rims and wheels, because I understand that should be a lot easier in sourcing tyres.

I like the 19" wheels, so I could look at an alternative tyre instead of 19" Bridgestones.
