Picking up my first porsche in 2 days!

Hey people, I'm just back from my local porsche dealership and have got al the finance sorted for my new (old) cayman s! I'm so ecstatic, can't describe how good a feeling it is.

Been reading this forum for just a week and its a been fantastic help, its full of useful info. I went for a 2 year old s with only 5000 miles on the clock. Its olive green (havent seen any others about yet, seems a bit rare), with standard 18s, xenons, satnav, chrono package thing, park sensors, aluminium front sill thingy, auto aircon, phone prep and bose (which I humbly thought sounded good, but then I'm no audiophile!). The car drives amazing, cant wait to pick it up!

I'm coming from a 2.0 tdi mk V golf so its a big jump up for me!

Anyways, thought id say hello

Olive is a rare color, I have never seen one. What interior? Welcome to the Wonderful World of Caymans.

Hello and welcome from another Olive Green owner.

WIth the phone prep do you mean the PCM phone module? If so make sure that the OPC applies the latest upgrade otherwise the noise cancelling software does just that but to your voice!

Thanks guys, feels so good knowing I'm picking up the keys tomorrow! Its a standard black leather interior (not full leather) with standard seats. Thanks for the info about the PCM phone module, they'll be getting a phone call first thing! See, this forum is outstanding, more useful advice after just 1 post!

I really love the colour but I wasnt sure about it when I heard about it over the phone and, to be fair, when I saw the online pics on the porsche approved site. Once I saw it in the metal though I thought it looked stunning. Its very subtle, black in the Glasgow greyness but with a nice depth. Looks great when the sun shines and it takes on an almost golden sort of hue when theres direct bright sunlight on it.

Ever since I was a little boy, I dreamed about porsches and ferraris and honestly didnt ever think Id get to own one. I dont know how I'm going to sleep tonight!

Tracker was fitted today by drivers glasgow (insurance requirement), was pretty chuffed with my £1400 quote from Adrian flux. I'm 25 with 3 years no claims, 6 points ( 2 sp30s marginally over the limit), parked in driveway. I paid the same for my 1.4 litre old shape golf when I first started driving.

Welcome-
My CS was my first Porsche also. As a kid I had always wanted one. I understand your feeling. I'm still excited everytime I drive this thing, and I've had it almost a year.
