Porsche Cardiff Pre Launch Eve

Hey guys,

Had an amazing evening and the cars looked great and got some nice pics I'll be uploading.

Things to note, 18's looked odd and lots commented on them, Sport Seats are awesome and what an upgrade, Sports Wheel is much nicer too, PCM seems worth the extra dosh for the 'gadget' factor alone and was soo cool so wish I could of afforded to spec that now!

Cheers

Dean

. . . mine would of run to that with the PCM - it's agreat toy and amazing interface with the sound system - very hi tech! The Porsche logo which comes up when you switch it on sold it to me - I'm so easy!

PCM should be standard, we have it on our 986 & have speced it on the Cayman S

dont forget the PCM is linked to the sports chrono pack

agree 18s looked a bit 'plastic', the alloy metalreminded me of the Ford Puma alloys I once owned......

PS the guys at the dealership rekon I'm the most excited pre-owner they have at the dealership! They kept telling me how excited they were for me (and my spec) and it was nice to see genuine enthusiasm. I got in with all the technicians and the actual guy who will prepare my motor and got my Michelin N1's sorted (all the Sport Designs there were shod with Conti's and there's no way I'm taking those or Pirellis for that matter especially as I'm speccing optional wheels at major cost so I want me Mich's!!)

What!?!? So there is no guarantee of getting Michelins? Nobody mentioned that before! Did the techs say if Contis/Pirellis or Michelins are more likely?

They had two Caymans with Sport Designs at Guildford last night, and both were on Michelins:

I asked for michelins on mine and a note was made on my invoice. However I was told that in reality porsche would fit whatever suited them selves. The dealer might help out afterwards.

. . . no guarantee at all what comes from the factory and with the cost of this rubber I want it my way from the start! If they turn up with contis or Pirellis they will be changing them over to the Mich's it's the least they can do.
