proud new owner of a two week old Cayman, basalt black exterior and black leather interior.
Being an old git (54) with no NCB, although no accidents or claims, because I have had a company car for many years, and still do, I expected the premium to be fairly steep although I live in a "low risk" area.
Bearing out one of the other respondents, I got a good price from Saga (around £655) but felt I couldn't live with the shame of being branded a really old git so asked for a rate from Porsche as an afterthought and once I told them that I had a good price from Saga they came in with an even better one. The Porsche insurance is underwritten by Norwich Union, so perhaps I could have got an even better price by going direct but I was running out of time.
It was only after I got the cover note through that I realised they had covered me for business use, which I hadn't requested. The excess is £350. So pretty good, eh?
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

£525ps fully comp with Esure ( no tracker requirement even though it was already fitted Esure said they did not require it and would not give a discount so simply did not renew tracker subscription).
Not actually received the car as yet, but have been doing quite a bit of investigation and the best quote I found is currently with directline (but, as John H says, I would have to get the tracker).
I am 29, Technical Architect, 10 years no claims, no bumps, no convictions etc, kept in South East London in a garage and was quoted £802 (although this will effectively be £978 with the tracker costs incorporated). Going to keep looking to see if I can get a better deal.
Later,
Dom
Renewed my insurance and it's costing me £750 with Direct Line again.
hi, first year £464, second year £330 over five years no claims, no convictions and £350 excess, 44 years old with me as the only driver this is a second car policy with a limit of 5000 miles a year, direct line, i found if you renew it costs 20% more so i let the policy lapse and started again online then you get the new customer rewards.
