Yeah, mine are poor too, but the truth is that modern fast cars simply outdrive the reach of a dipped beam. You can't extend the range any further, cos you'll blind everyone else. Zenons help, cos they give more light, but still don't give more range.

I agreed the standard halogen lamp is poor. I already bought Osram silverstar to improve coverage but it is still inadeqate esp if you travel quickly in a dark wet country road!

I bought a Phillips H7 HID conversion kit(Made in Germany) from Hong Kong-Cost £200----will let you guys know the result when I get it fitted next saturday!

Be careful, there is a reason why all factory HID supplied cars come with self levelling headlights.

Mine are fantastic lights, better than any other car I've driven. But they are the Xenon lights. I also love the way they kind of heat up and raise when you first turn them on.

I have to say, the Cayman lights aren't as effective as those on my old 968 on low or high beam. However, an old Police class 1 trainer once told me that 60mph on two lane roads at night is fast enough, so I content myself with that.
