Just called my dealer and the car is in the UK and he expects I can pick it up on THURSDAY! Arctic silver, full black leather, sport seats, sport wheel, CD, sound pack, dimming mirrors, park assist. Garage ready and waiting!
What was your build date and what OPC did you use? Mine was a 13 Dec build and when I checked on Friday it was sitting in the port of Emden waiting for a boat! I have arranged my insurance to run from Friday so desperately hoping it will be ready! Anyone know how long it takes usually from when it gets to Emden?
Thanks guys. I think I've gone a bit madwaiting for the time to tick by! But, this forum and the people on it have been great - it's pure therapy.
For information for those of you waiting, my build date was 9th Dec and it completed on time. By approx. the 19th it was in the UK and the very next day it was at the dealer. It's actually in my OPC now, waiting for me. My OPC is Statstone, Wilmslow, Manchester. I'm sat at work in London planning my flight home with military precision!
I'm going to drive back to work on Friday - 500 miles round trip. Oh Yes !
Sorted my Insurance today, £1,600 - 9 points in 5 yrs on the license :-(
with 9 points I hope you have ample amounts of radar units, you will need them.
Did you go with Admiral for your insurance?
cheers Rod
Escort Radar
At ESCORT, we're continually improving our line of radar and laser detectors with the best technology. Our latest invention, the GPS-powered PASSPORT 9500ix, is no exception. It provides the best long-range protection against every known radar and laser gun in use in North America, but also incorporates GPS accuracy to silence each and every false alert. It is by far the most intelligent, fully automatic radar and laser detector ever designed. You drive. It learns. End of story. http://www.escortradar.com
Decided I need a radardetector more than I need a Tracker. Read the thread on that but not locked on to one that is concealed (don't like anything hanging off the windscreen or dash).
Went with a broker who got me with Norwich Union
