RaceLogic Performance Box 01
GPS Performance meter
PerformanceBox is the most cost effective Performance Meter on the market, with a huge array of features and functions normally found only on professional test equipment. Racelogic are experts in using GPS to measure the performance of cars as VBOX is used by the majority of car manufacturers, tyre companies and motoring magazines throughout the world.
GPS has many advantages over conventional measurement techniques, and it is now widely accepted as the best way to measure a vehicle's speed and acceleration. PerformanceBox uses a GPS engine with an update rate of 10 times per second to give class-leading accuracy and detail, which when combined with a range of standard and user-configurable tests makes it an invaluable tool for those wishing to measure driver or vehicle performance.
All of this data is generated in real-time and is displayed on the backlit LCD screen.
Full data logging is included if a removable SD card is used, and comprehensive Windows software enables you to analyse and view the data graphically. Performance runs and lap times are also recorded in text file format.
PERFORMANCE
PerformanceBox measures in Km/h, MPH, meters or feet. The range of the acceleration, braking and distance tests are fully user adjustable and carrying out performance tests could not be easier - just put PerformanceBox in the car and drive!
LAP TIMING
A "virtual start/finish" line is used to generate lap and split times, which are displayed on the built-in screen and stored on the removable SD card. Up to six split points and a separate finish line can also be defined for sprint courses and slalom tests.
POWER CALCULATIONS
PerformanceBox can help you to measure the power developed by your car's engine, either at the wheels or flywheel. Having set the vehicle weight, results are calculated from measurements taken by the fast GPS engine to give you useful guidelines to the car's brake horsepower or kilowatt output.
