GT3 Sport Seats are back in stock!

Hey CC members,

We received a shipment of a dozen sets of the Euro GT3 Sport Seats in today. We've already sold about 3 or 4 sets, so if you wanted to get your hands on some at the sale price ($1295 per seat), make sure to shoot me a PM, email, or phone call. Thanks guys.

Thanks..what would be the weight savings over standard seats? Will you also carry the next gen sport seats, ala GT2?

A stock Boxster seat with no electronics, lumbar, heat, etc weighs in at 46lbs. I would imagine it would be quite a bit heavier w/ all the goodies in it.

The GT3 seat weighs in at 26lbs, rails and all.

We haven't gotten word in on when Porsche will release the new GT2 sport seats as an after-sales retrofit, or how much they'll be. My best guess from what I've heard from Porsche is that we should see them around early summer, and the prices I've heard have ranged between $5k and $8k for the pair.

I have grown bigger as time passes. What size waist are these seats recommended for?
What size chest?

Thanks

We've never really gotten a recommended size/weight for these seats, but to put it in perspective, I am 5'11" 180lbs (34" waist ~46" chest) and I still have wiggle room, as the bolsters are not tight on me in any area. Our old manager had a 38" waist and he had the seats in his car, and they seemed to fit him perfectly, just bordering on snug.

5' 10", 210 pounds, 46" chest and 37" waist (36" casual pants, 38 dress pants") with a rather "robust" rear end.

The fit is very snug, but not uncomfortable at all. Perfect for the track, but a bit confining for daily use as they are a slightly intrusive at the shoulder.

Cheers,

I am 5' 10", 230 pounds, 40 waist and about a 46 to 47 chest. You can understand my concern with fit.

Absolutely.

It probably depends on where you carry your weight. I do not have a large gut (certainly some at 210), but have a robust rear and thighs. If you are 230 and carry your weight in your belly, you might make it, but it will be very tight.

I certainly would not buy without conducting a test fit. I sat in several seats before I chose these.

Cheers,

Many thanks to Steve & Suncoast -- that was the best price I'd found. - Michael
