This is very like the Manthey one, difference being You can't cover the rear lights (by Law) so it has to go higher.
If you didn't have a fill panel it wouldn't look finished and 3rd anything you wanted to put in the rear boot (trunk) you would have to lift over the spoiler (don't misunderstand me beilieve I've been down most routes)
Tess,
just an idea(it maybe a stupid one so pls don't dis it).
What if you made and sold that spoiler to fit a CS's mounts and sold different length spacers, so we could invidually adjust the height in the low position?
Just an idea, cuz I like that turbo style wing on the CS.

Yea not a crazy idea...please let me finish the first one then I can look at alternatives. Think I've posted before that I'm pretty sure the 996 turbo wing top element has screw in flanges at the same centres as the Cayman so it would be just a case of making a 2 piece mould and different sized extensions...(sounds quick and easy, doesn’t it)
I will say the following about extending the existing spoiler struts. Go outside NOW and extend your spoiler, grip the wing and waggle back and forth.....how much more leverage would you like to put on that !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right . It is kinda flimsy.

That's a Speedart one and is available... which in you 2nd shot then looks more like the wing we were talking about the top section of the 996 turbo wing.
Go and do what I asked AKA WANI to do a couple of posts back, Not sure if I would want "bigger-heavier" with more leverage on those uprights.. hence again why I decided to mount the wing on the hatch.
How did this thread get away from front splitters???????
How did this thread get away from front splitters???????[/quote]
Because decent splitters have been done, Still nobody has come up with a good wing!! it's ridiculous. I think more people are interested in a awesome looking wing
I am in for a splitter - but I need to know SOON when it will be available. I am putting my car back together in the next month or so and need to know what direction to take the front bumper. Please let us know timing. Thanks!
