FLAME

Just kidding. At these low volumes, all products are essentially cottage industry products. Lead times for everything from the car itself to exhausts to clear covers to race plenums are long. It's the nature of the beast.

Suffice it to say that Scott's products are good and he takes care of his customers. So we wait.

Everything takes longer than we think it will. The Softronics Race Plenum is behind schedule. The TPC turbo kit is behind schedule. The Borla catback dyno test ran behind schedule. The RS98 wheel group buy is behind schedule. My retirement is behind schedule, and so is the apprehension of Osama Bin Laden. Get used to it.

classing of vehicle for autocross

How will the softronic race plenum affect classing of our vehicles for autocross? Will this be allowed under the production class or will we have to be classed under modified?

Thanks.

Scott,
Has this plenum with the associated softronic file been tested on a CS with tiptronic? If so, can we expect the same gains as in a CS with manual? In your first post, you mentioned that you will raise the RPM limit, but a while back (late 2007) when I spoke to you over the phone, you stated the tuned softronic file will not be able to raise the rev limiter on tiptronics.

Is this correct, or does it not matter if you have a manual or Tiptronic with this plenum? If you have tested this on a CS with Tip, I would love any information you can provide, even if there is no significant performance difference between a manual and a tiptronic Cayman when using this plenum and software.

For autoX stock class, ECU tuning and Modification of throttle body are not allowed. You will be bump to a higher class.

So true. Retirement? I have a dirt nap in my future. No retirement, unfortunately. Bin Laden gets to retire. I get to die. But I have a Cayman.
