So how is this going to work, are you notifying people ? You talked about a 48 hour payment period..
Wouldnt want to miss that window because I didn't know I was supposed to be submitting payment.
Jeff
I'm going to post a link. I only said the 2 days was to try and keep it within reasonable time. I will would of course email you and ask. You could then make payment if you still wanted it before I move down THE LIST.
OK, folks - I'm going to say two things here, and I want them heeded, please... It's good to see that Scott has gotten the dyno testing done - I know him to be a meticulous guy, with no hidden agendas, so I trust he'll be forthcoming with the information necessary for people to make an informed decision as to whether or not to buy this product. So far, Scott's products have performed as advertised.
Chillie has raised some good points, and we get them... Chillie - it's not really necessary to carry on a crusade at this point - you say don't even have a car this will fit onto, so I don't see the point in continuing to sit on this thread... interesting that you would say you don't own a Cayman, yet you put one in the registry... if you do have or do get a Cayman, there are plenty of people in line ahead of you to test this out and give a thumbs up or down.
For those that are on the list, and ready to buy - good, you've made your decision - and everyone has heard your side, too... So, PLEASE, no more snide remarks or Chillie bashing or this thread will be shut down, pronto...
Capische?
Back to our regularly scheduled programming,
brad

Sport Chrono and Chrono Plus
This optional package is a valuable addition for trackday use. Available in conjunction with the CDR-24 CD radio, it includes a swivel-mounted analog and digital timer unit which is centrally located on the dashboard. All functions are easily accessible via the control stalk for the on-board computer. Analog dials measure hours, minutes and seconds, while a separate digital field displays whole seconds, tenths and one hundredths of a second. A second digital display runs in parallel in the instrument cluster. Click this Link to visit the FAQ entry for Sport Chrono.
PSE - Porsche Sports Exhaust System
The acoustics of this dual-mode sports exhaust system are dependent on driving style, ranging from standard output during normal road driving to a more aggressive tone during performance use. Modes are selected using a button on the center console (or ‘Sport’ mode button on vehicles with optional Sport Chrono Package/Sport Chrono Package Plus).
Introduction planned for 04/2007. Some models may require additional components. For detailed information about this product, please contact your Porsche dealer.
Part no. 987 044 200 00

Softronic
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. I thought I posted for addition to the list some time ago but don't see my name now......anyway, I am an Softronic customer and would like to get the race plenum and throttlebody.
Thanks,
Chris--
Plenum
The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.

it sure has gotten "chillie" in here brad. i think this thread has been pretty civil and honest so far. if chillie doesnt have a car this will fit onto, than he should be able to stand out in the cold where we all can see him...but shut the thread down? come on, why the hammer?

Why the hammer? Because in many respects and past instances that's what it takes to get people to listen... I disagree though - it's been honest, but bordering on incivility, and I'd like to see everyone just take a step back and stop trying to defend their positions so vehemently... none of this on either side of the discussion helps Scott develop and test his product any faster, and in some ways prevents him from getting it done because he's been trying to keep the fires from getting out of hand in this thread...
So, let's keep to the topic at hand, and remember we're all here for the same reason.
brad

Joking aside I am glad Brad stepped in to get this thread on track. I am always suspicious of forum a posters motivation when they do not own a car that a product will fit on. There is enough technical expertize on here from the potential customers to ask the right questions without more external provocation and I am sure that we will not have the wool pulled over our eyes.
Anyhow, I as I am sure those on the list are eagerly awaiting Scott's 'Pay Here Link' ..... 'Soup' now please.
