The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.
Softronic
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. This software is matched with two cables, an End User and Master Cable. The SOFTRONIC proprietary flashing solution outperforms all other combinations in speed and accuracy including the factory Porsche equipment.
So what it the relationship between Porsche and Softronic, such that Softronic would have exclusive distribution?
If this is a "100% Porsche" product, I assume it will have a Porsche part number. Correct?
Thanks, Andy
This is not a Porsche kit. Scott has taken a collection of genuine Porsche parts, most of them from the 3.8 liter Carrara S parts bin, and packaged them with a custom written software package that makes the 3.4L run as a mini 3.8L-S engine. Scott is pulling a bunch of tricks out of the Porsche hat and applying them to the 3.4L Cayman S. So yes, this IS what the Cayman should have been but couldn't be.

I am very interested also. If I were to purchase the kit, is this something I could ask the local Porsche dealer to install? Or a Porsche specialty shop?
