What's up with the lazy people remark? If it was intended to differentiate between people's choice / perfrence and lable one better than the other, it is a very ignorant remark.

I don't think the comment was intended as anything other than good natured sarcasm. I have a tiptronic and love it but I knew when I chose it, I was in for some grief. I tell my friends who say anything (and trust me most of them do they need to drive it. The car is incredible, and with the Sport Chrono option turned on, the car is even more incredible...
All that said, if it wasn't my daily driver, and I wasn't a cell phone user and starbucks junkie, I'd probably have chosen the manual.
Sport Chrono and Chrono Plus
This optional package is a valuable addition for trackday use. Available in conjunction with the CDR-24 CD radio, it includes a swivel-mounted analog and digital timer unit which is centrally located on the dashboard. All functions are easily accessible via the control stalk for the on-board computer. Analog dials measure hours, minutes and seconds, while a separate digital field displays whole seconds, tenths and one hundredths of a second. A second digital display runs in parallel in the instrument cluster. Click this Link to visit the FAQ entry for Sport Chrono.
Has this been a dead thread already ? Gee.. it's very difficult to find lazy people driving the tip nowadays !

I think F1 took offense at mookie's implication that people who drive Tips are lazy (I know I am, but that's beside the point ). I agree with Chillie that I think that mookie was just trying to be sarcastic or funny.
It's all good.

Not to mention letting the wife drive it as a daily ride. Anyway what's so macho about driving a stick? If I want to be a macho, I'd go drive a tank.

I wasn't trying to be offensive. I myself chose the tip mainly because I'm lazy to make shifts in the busy streets of HK. Sometimes I don't understand why people from this forum always get excited over a simple comment. If you don't think there's a problem with people driving tips, you wouldn't feel my comment to be offensive.
Anyhow, I'm still looking forward to the LSD for TIP !
LSD - Limited Slip Differential
A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
The main advantage of a limited slip differential is found by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely– the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use however, such as driving off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

It has to be a sensible financial decision............. Or it does not happen!!!!!!!!!

Don't jump to conclusion yet. It may turn out that after taking the measurement, Quaife finds that an existing TBD can do the job, or with a little modification, it can do the job.

I know I can do a search and read for an hour, but for the benefit of getting more interest in the LSD/Tip product could someone quickly explain what the benefits of adding LSD to the car i
