i was drawn to this post, via google, and proceeded to listen to the remus version for the 997 turbo.

for the interest of the members here, the sound was unimpressive compared to mine from fabspeed. however, the remus on my merc is great.

what is the cayman one like to users ?

i dont have a cayman. i have driven one as one has to drive all porsche versions.
it is a great car.

Comparing our street version to a race type exhaust is not really a fair comparison in any shape or form. Our SPORT/STREET exhaust is intended for street use at TUV approved sound levels. DB output is equal to OEM however the sound characteristics are altered.

i bought twice from them for street use with porsches. i did not purchase the race ones. are you saying they have given me race ones? if so they sold me the wrong ones, as they dont sound like race ones, they are much too quiet to be race ones.

I have no idea, fact is they are not TUV approved as they are not manufactured in Europe hence the sound difference.

Just an FYI , I Installed a Softronic Flash Software and it really made the Exhaust sound Even Deeper .Throatier .It sure seems like a lot more then 15 HP gained with the software .Does the fact that I have the Remus Exhaust Enhance the Software upgrade and HP gained ? Is that possible? Thanks

very interesting. i suppose that some response times and power spreads caused by the new software might do this.

Does remus claim increased hp with thier exhausts?

Are they free flowing?

I have seen the 3.4 Liter Dyno Posted on the 6speedonlie site with a 20 and 21 in increased hp.with Just the Remus Exhaust No catback.REMUS Corp Understates and overdelivers and thats just the way they want to do it . I have e-mailed them about this before they just do not like overtsating anything so they post a real conservative HP increase.Its really strange you would think in this day and age they would use a Proven Dyno that a REAL owner of a 3.4 Cayman had done tested and proven to sell more exhaust based on the performance increase but they dont.I have High respect for that . Sound,Quality,Reliability,Service and State of the art Engineering is what makes them #1 On the Planet . PS I have NO affiliation with remus whatsoever

Have you heard any other aftermarket exhausts for the cayman? Could you describe the sound from the Remus. I am waiting for a Borla, but since I have paid and am still waiting after what seems like two months with no fixed date in site I am examining other options. I nearly bought a Remus for my E36 M3 a couple of years ago. Just havent heard them in real life to know how they sound.

I really want that flat 6 sound, but louder when Im pushing it. Any description would be great.
