Will it tell me if I need shoulder surgery for my rotator cuff?
Well...not directly. However, if it consistently displays "your swing stinks" on the screen, maybe that's an indication your shoulder is affecting your putts!
You would probably improve more by paying a pro and/or using some of Pelz's training techniques. He uses very basic tools and solid fundamentals.
Also, if I remember your handicap from another thread, all of the data from this machine will probably just add even more confusing thoughts to what is probably an overly crowded head.
You seem to be data oriented (like most doctors and engineers (me)), so I recommend both of Dave Pelz’s books, the Short Game Bible and The Putting Bible. In these books he uses data and basic physics, not gimmicks, to improve your game. I have read The Short Game bible twice with good results both times.
I play with a lot of very good golfers (+2 to -5 handicaps) and I can not see a single one of them ever using a device like this.

Yep, the Pelz books are on my shopping list. I will buy both very soon.
Keep in mind that this putter isn't really meant for use in normal play (although you can), it's more of a training aid. It analyzes your swing and can tell you where on the face you hit the ball, the face angle, swing speed, tempo, etc. so you get an idea of what you're doing wrong. I doubt good golfers would need such a device, and for the rest of us, the price is tough to swallow.
It looks like this putter may indeed really help your game.
But, will it get beers for me, help me pick the correct cigars to take with me and show me where the bathrooms are on every golf course? I think not, what good is it if it can't do that?
