Talk about not judging a thread by its title. I was thinking Doc had lost his mind and posted questionable content. Boy was I wrong. Thank you for sharing, very inspirational.
I found this totally inspiring. First, I felt impaired and ashamed, to think how functional and well-adjusted this woman is. From watching it I surmise that she must've lost both of her arms as a child or been born without arms because the brain is quite plastic before the onset of puberty at approximately age 12. When she cracked the eggs and put them in the frying pan, I swear I saw a pair of hands.
And the second woman just blows my mind! Talk about overcoming odds, obstacles, and the "wisdom" of the physicians who said she would become a vegetable! It just shows you what the strength of spirit can accomplish.
These made my day; I hope to make yours.
One never realizes how much one is blessed or what one has, until there is a loss or one sees something so inspiring as this.

I think I'd like to change my previous use of the word 'disturbing' to 'heart breaking'
But why? if their hearts aren't broken, neither should yours be, even -- especially -- sympathetically. These people aren't victims, not in their heart of hearts.
Look at it this way: imagine if there were a race of people with lifespans of thousands of years, but otherwise much like us. Imagine how they'd react to us people who are lucky to make it to eighty. And yet, for the most part we're glad to make it to eighty. I could give much more dramatic examples but not in so few words.
