on a similar note, i've actually had one side of my random tech. high flow cats disintegrate on me before. no signs of any of the pieces anywhere. I suppose this could've happened while I was driving, but never heard a thing. one day its there, the next it wasnt. replaced under warranty

Omfg...I almost died laughing when it started spitting out pieces. I suppose his next move is to take it to the dealer and complain. A few of those guys will probably have a better laugh than I did. The stupid shall be punished...
Pretty sure his car is heavily modified with new fueling system, its dumping too much fuel into the cylinders, then the unburned fuel is igniting in the cats and the expansion is blowing them out.
