Nope. Sorry. You don't deserve any more of your own taxes back. I mean, honestly, it wouldn't be fair to the folks that don't pay as much in tax as you do.
I would agree. Most people that can afford these cars here (I know not everyone) probably are in an income bracket beyond the threshold for a return. Perhaps a creative accountant could help!
I got the memo (as did everyone) saying I was entitled to a rebate. I got back nothing, which is what I expected.

I'm in a lower tax bracket myself and will be seeing a stimulus check come my way, already have planned it out to cover the cost of professional laser shifter installation.
Not all of us are wealthy folks with tons of $$$ sitting around to throw at multiple vehicles for fun. I've saved a couple years for my Cayman, and it will be my daily driver.
My partner and I both received full size stimulus checks, which went to pay an architect to design our master bathroom major remodel. Now, as for paying for the $25K remodel itself, that will come out of our paychecks.
We both work pretty hard for our living.

It's nice to see that those who have received checks are in fact stimulating the economy with them.
I wish I could say that I didn't get one, but I'm a sales guy on a variable pay structure with an 11 year old son selling in a bad economy. Last year was my worst year in a long time. My pay shrunk significantly in 07 which caused me to graize the top of the threshold. I did not spend the $160 that I received on anything fun. It just sort of vanished in my checking account (or into my gas tank).
No social security tax
No medicare tax
Depreciation seems to run high so it shields the income from taxes.
If we need to make a large purchase we refinance a property (no taxes on borrowed money) and let the tenant make the payment.
I am considered lower poverty class.
Wife says I may spend the stimulus check on a Borla Exhaust, but we will see.
Borla
BORLA PERFORMANCE INDUSTRIES is the leader in the design and manufacture of stainless steel performance exhaust. We began two decades ago as a manufacturer of exhaust systems for such "concours classics" as Rolls-Royce and Ferrari cars and have evolved into the premier manufacturer of today’s performance vehicles for the street, off-road, and racing.
