Car Cover Eating Insects (At least it looks that way)
Today, after eight days without driving my car, I went to take off the car cover and saw what I thought was lady bug. It had the right coloring, two black dots, but it just looked a little different. I couldn't put my finger on it, but then I noticed the "shell" had ribs to it. I decided to use a small stick to get it off, but it wouldn't budge. That's because the head was imbedded into my car cover. It almost looked like it was eating it. My guess is it attached itself to the cover. I then flicked it off, minus the head which stayed attached. Then I noticed three more of these things, one much larger and off white. Did the same execution process and finally removed the remaining parts. Has anyone else encountered these car cover loving insects?
I've noticed a lot more dead bugs underneath the cover with the warmer weather now, but nothing attached to the surface.
Not sure about your cover material, but mine is so dense and slick that dried bird poop just flakes off (don't ask how I know)...

I'd put my money on it being a Tick, most strange, I know a cayman has a soul but there must be blood running through it's veins!!!

I had a California Car cover "Stormweave" 8 years ago and wasn't happy with it. It started to tear after one winter.
