My money is on Mcdonalds paying him to counteract the negative press they got from the Supersize me movie.

Honestly, who in the right mind says "I'm going to lose weight by going to McDonalds." That is the biggest misrepresentation of what he did.

It should have been "I'm going to lose weight by eating more salad." Where he got it from has little or no bearing on the results.

I love it. I ran a marathon once. And I did frequent McDonalds for fast meals. I often thought of the idea of proving I could train for a marathon on a McDonalds diet. Is that guy a Cayman Club member? If so chime up!

I drive a white Cayman S, and live in Virginia and lost 90 pounds, and I can say without a doubt that McDonald's had very little to do with it.

Well, I don't know of a better way to reduced vehicle weight by 3%. And it's a zero cost mod.

To me the key point to Supersize Me was Mcdonalds is fine in moderation; it's not fine in the typical capacities consumed by the average fast food eating American. What this did was exactly that, he limited himself to 1400 calories a day. One of the great things about fast food chains is that nutritional specs of all the food are listed in the restaurant and online. Most meals at fine dining restaurants have tons of fat and calories, just as much if not more as a meal at Mcdonalds, but you'd never know because they don't have to tell you what goes into it.

Weight loss is really just a function of calories consumed and calories burned. A McDonalds only diet isn't the most nutritious diet to be on, but neither are most of the other "fad" diets out there. One calorie limiting diet I've heard really good things about is Nutri System advanced, because it's geared at actually fulfilling nutrient, mineral, and vitamin requirements while still keeping calories low.
