Stick On License Plates

I was at our Porsche breakfast yesterday and a member brought his F430 and I noticed there was no plate on the front nose but he lives in Missouri. THen I noticed some type of decal on the front with black numbers and clear background and when I asked him about it he said that Missouri has these decal tags for cars that cant mount front plates. I thought that was pretty interesting and wondered if other states have these. He said he didn't know but he said Missouri didn't advertise them, you had to know they exist and specifically request them in order to get one and of course there was some fee for it too (he didn't say how much).

Here's one I saw on a GT in Moscow last week. I guess it's better than drilling holes...

The problem with this plate method is that it is not large enough to be legible. I wonder if we can inform the Russian authorities to make it larger?

You know, the sticker idea isn't that bad if you get a vanity license plate so the sticker says something.

I don't think it is really a question of "vanity," to try to make something look more interesting than a bunch of randomly selected numbers and letters sticking out on a big sign attached to the front and rear of one's car. Maybe some people use it for vanity, but many just try to add a lil' intelligence or fun to a rather obnoxious and ugly feature on all cars. But then again some guys can't even recognize that a license plate is obnoxious and ugly looking.

This is the first I've heard of this and I've lived in Missouri for 40+ years. There's nothing on the Missouri Department of Revenue website about this. Would you mind asking your friend how a person goes about getting one of these decals?

Thanks!

I live in Missouri as well and have never heard of nor seen this option. I've even read the MO statutes and cannot find a reference.

I'm going to renew my DL before the end of this month, so I'll inquire then.

Here is another one from our local PCA, it is a magnetic tag. Tried to get a copy made of mine at a local sign store but they saud they couldn't.
