Two observations.

I am glad to see Mercedes improving the quality of their cars. I swore off the brand after an experience with a C230 that was in the shop 18 times in two years! I sold it while there was still two years left on the warranty.

Damn shame about Land Rover being at the bottom of that graph. The Land Rover is nice SUV, when it's running. But then I used to own an Austin America, so I know what's up.

Now maybe Porsche can turn it's attention to it's "Much Worse than Average" Consumer Reports reliability rating for the 911 (the Boxster's rating is up to Average now).

Mercedes Benz? All but one M-B model earned a "Much Worse than Average" reliability rating; the C-class V6 earned only a "Worse than Average" rating. How do they keep selling those cars?

I'll never forget the day I was returning home on the 73, the OC's stretch of the Autobahn. Driving south-bound I took notice of a smoke plume at the crest of the San Juan Hills, as I approached the crest of the hill I saw a Land Rover engulfed in flames. The owner/driver of the still new LR had been able to safely park the funeral pyre by the side of the road, but watched on helplessly as the Land Rover incinerated itself, polluting the South Coast Air Quality District!

From Time to Time i do bits & bobs for Landrover/Jag at Hailwood here in Liverpool. You find the Build Q on the new Freelander vasty better than the old, infact its on another planet.

It's interesting that in the demographics they listed the most frequent trade-in as a TT........most likely the Audi version.......The same car I traded in.

Black as the most popular color......also interesting......our registry shows a MUCH larger percentage of silver.

And for the record.......I don't watch ANY of those TV shows.
