997 4 as an all year, daily driver?

I'm looking for your input. I live in Upstate NY (read: harsh winters) and have an '06 CS, and a '08 Range Rover Sport. My new job allows me to work from home and I'm finding that I rarely drive much anymore (except to pick up my daughter from day care; going golfing; occasional trip to the store). With gas prices, I'm happy that I'm not driving as much but I also feel that two vehicles is a bit overkill since they sit most of the time.

I love the CS but find that there are many times when my wife and I want to go out with our daughter and obviously can't take the CS. I like the improvements coming to the 911 and think that it might solve these challenges. One question is - is it feasible to think that I can drive a 911 all year considering that I live in the snowbelt? If so, what types of "deals" (if any) do you think I could get with a new order?

As always, thanks for the input!

My 997-4 that I previously owned served me well as a snow car except when the snow was too deep for the car. If you live in area where roads are plowed according to your travel schedule I'd suggest you would be fine with that choice.
