Should I buy a 2008 or wait for an 09

Dealer is giving me a $70K 08 Cayenne for $65K. Asked about the 2009's and he said that I woud have to wait for the 2009 dealer shipment in September (inventory color combo sux) or order one myself and wait even longer. Yet, if I calculate the depreciation costs of owning an 08 vs 09, i.e. come January 1st, 2009 I would own a car that is a "1 yr old" and I figure the depreciation costs are far greater than the $5K discount. Same dealer said no discount on '09 though. Planning on keeping the car for a long time (5 - 7 yrs) so not sure in that timeframe if buying an 08 vs 09 makes a difference.

Recommendations, should I pony up the extra $5K and get an 09 instead?

BTW; here in Panama cayennes are in high demand, really rough roads and flooding.

If this isn't a Cayman topic but rather a Cayenne topic then it belongs in the Off-Topic Porsche Other Models forum, so I moved it there.

I would think you could get more off, sales are plummeting for the Cayenne, just look at the sales figures for July. Make the dealer sit on the expensive gas guzzler...
