Hi guys, I was at an automotive industry conference a week ago where Porsche was one of the presenters. During the very interesting presentation there was some concept art of the Panamera. At this point the presenter stopped and said something to the effect that we should not beleive all we see in the spy photos. Apparently even in the latest spy photos that we see in magazines and some web sites, the Panamera is still very covered up and even some of the panels that appear to be final are not. The final look for the car is much smoother than what we have seen up to this moment. Think latest photos of the new 911.
A friend (MikeR) emailed me these cell pics of two Panamera’s being tested in Keystone, CO last week. They had GA plates and were obviously cloaked. He talked briefly to the German drivers that evening when he found them parked as they were putting covers on the cars. "They were friendly but unwilling to be specific about the cars."

Thanks for posting Dan. One thing I didn't mention after I found out: There were 4 of them in Keystone testing that week. I only saw two. My wife saw all 4 together driving over Loveland Pass.

ARCuhteK,
I like how you think. How about El Caymino?
Well, I love it.
Now I'll bet we see one!

Don'tmiss scraping my master's windshield, winter oil, winter tires, chains, pluggin' in the car over night--block water heater! and interior warmer. And having to put anti-freeze in my GAS!
How much "camo" can they have in these photos? Looks pretty close to the finished product except for some details. They've got a land whale on their hands and they maybe getting a little anxious because the reaction to the spy photos has been generally negative. The interior shots I've seen are even worse, but that could just be due to testing clutter. The flagship is going to be a 500+HP V8 that will be around $150K USD. That's a lot of change for a Lexus on steroids.
DaveC,
The implication is that some of the body pannels that do not appear to have too much camo are not the final pannels that will be on the car. Its the ultimate in misinformation and deceptiveness. Light camo over a panel that is not the real thing. Very cold war.
