Very interesting. Its if Porsche has the not invented here syndrome. But then they have a very capable car in the Cayman but do not see the need to race it. Sticking with a car that they feel can still win with but Daytona 24 showed that they might be having a harder time.

Even more interesting was the reference to Porsche becoming a larger company, and with that growth, allowing accountants to trump engineers. As Porsche grows ever larger, will quality suffer? That's the real question I saw in this article.
