I'd have to look at a map to tell you how we got there last year, but I passed through NC riding the trails at the Tsali Recreation Area, then on to Sugar Mountain ski area for a race. We drove the climb nearby that the old Tour Dupont used a decade ago, very cool roads, pretty country.

If anyone would set up a meeting for that Apex drive in Holly Springs, I'd be up for it. Sounds great, but wouldn't want to get lost.

Will organize something, probably a Saturday morning drive... is approx. 1 hour full circle, very little traffic out there and most pieces of the road without any houses/driveway's...

Will post a date shortly...

Sounds fun - I would love to drive with others if possible in NC...North GA too. See "Favorite Route" thread for another fun drive in NC and GA.
