Grandma digs Forza2 on xbox360

That's right, a grey haired grandma asked to see my driving game after she sees my chair and wheel, then wants to drive, so I set her up on the Nissan Speedway in arcade mode. Now she wants one and is going to bring her husband over so she can sell him on it.

Every day is a suprise, I tell 'ya.

I'm probably older than your grandma and both of us probably can beat you at video games and on the track. Experience counts...

My grandmothers would both be close to 100 if still alive. I'm just an old kid that refuses to completely grow up.

Oh, and to the OP, I like Forza 2 as well. Nice story. It's cool that enjoying video games isn't restricted to us youths. Right on.

Forza 2 Rocks, especially with a triple-screen setup! Believe me, 3 screens is awesome. You can see further around tight corners and see people coming up next to you better. I have about 5 Cayman S cars in various stages of customization. My U999 has the AWD Turbo drivetrain which is incredible in a light weight car.

Well, my grandmas are 60+ years older than me and my mom's mother is probably one of the best drivers I have seen on the road. She is over 90 and she still passes every yearly driving test without a mistake and has NEVER been pulled over or even gotten a parking ticket. Too bad she is on another continent, or I would try out the Forza2 experiment on her

Maybe this isn't the place to post your support for the FLDS church and to espouse your theory that the government is engaged in "child abuse". As the father of three daughters, I am appalled by what you imply.

My post was in the good natured spirit of California v. Texas. Two of the finest countries on the planet jockeying for the title Number One.

Since you used the term "internets" I will assume that you a non-native English speaker, or are from Texas...like our President, who also uses the term.

Back to the topic at hand...

This just looks like two mis-understandings. Sorry DaveN007 and sorry to TrackDay for dampering your light-hearted thread. I saw you making light of a 25 year old grandmother... a situation that could only arrise out of what I believe is child abuse (sex with a minor). I'm not really sure how you read that as support for the FLDS, probably in the same way that you didn't perceive your post as poking fun at child abuse. I have a fairly cynical sense of humor, and I probably should have just used it here. I should have seen the gentle jibe at Texas rather than a perceived joke at the expense of a tragedy.

I am, as you suggested, at Texan. A lot of the legal wrangling is going on in Austin where I live, and it is on the local news in addition to the national news every night. It's sort of an open wound in my state right now. It just rubbed me the wrong way. I understand the healthy rivalry between California and Texas, I just thought it was a little early to use it in a barb. Branch Davidians? I don't really find that funny either... though it clearly points out some good old-fashioned Texas crazy. No hard feelings I hope?
