Cayman S in NFS 'Most Wanted'

Forgive me if this was posted here ( I know I have seen it somewhere with pictures, but can't recall which form ), the Xbox version of NFS (Need for Speed ) 'Most Wanted' will include Cayman S. The release date is Nov. 15 - looks like I will be driving Cayman very soon ;-))) I have a home theater with 110' screen, so the cars do look large, and with 8 speakers the sound is even better ( subwoofer rules ) - sorry - this is the kid in me, but I must admit that the games are very good for reflex times, and hand and eye coordination.

P.S. if this was not posted here, and if someone comes across those images ( it includes a pic of 911 engine noise recording ), please post it here.

Is that an XBOX game or an XBOX 360 game? I know Project Gotham 3 is an XBOX 360 launch release title, but no idea if the Cayman S is in it or not.

Its for the riginal xbox - 360 is out on Nov. 22nd - it will run some original xbox games in 720p mode e.g. Halo 1,2 - maybe NFS as well From what I understood NFS had access to Cayman S for about 6 months.

Buy the premium Xbox 360 and have N4SMW if u got all those nice stuff. I played a demo of the Xbox version and the graphics were bad (worse than N4S Underground 2). I couldn't hear the sounds (i was playing in Future Shop, a cheap prejudice Canadian Electronics Store, and this employee with a Star Wars Lightsabre was stalkin me all around the store 'cause he didn't literally liked the looks of me, dispite the fact that i brought 20 items from the freaking store. (I did play on Halloween though) Anyway, I recommend getting the Xbox 360- the Cayman isn't exclusive to the Xbox afterall.

I do plan to get the 360 at some point, but the good thing is that NFS is out on the 15th, a whole week before 360 is out - that is pure 7 days of Cayman driving - you of course know that I am joking, since nothing compares to the real thing ;-) If you played 360 at the Future shop, I suspect the screen was not that big - when played on a 110' screen, it is something else

November 22, 2005 - Need For Speed: Most Wanted really likes to flaunt the whole 'street racer' aesthetic. In all the advertising, the box art and even the 'live' events held to promote the game, it seems that EA is really catering to the 'underground' crowd. (Pun was intended, thank you.)

<div id="intelliTxt">However, Need For Speed: Most Wanted isn't only about hopped up Civics and Mustangs; EA thought it would be fitting to include some high-dollar European rides, too. And by 'European rides', we're not just talking E46 BMWs or Fiat Puntos (though those cars are in the game, too). We're talking about some of the finest high-dollar machinery known to man. Need an example? Well then, check out all of these Porsches that are found in the game.

911 GT2
This car is considered by many to be the ultimate 911. The Porsche GT2 (2004-spec) boasts a 3.6 liter twin-turbo flat six that pumps out a massive 477 horsepower and an impressive 457 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to its 12-inch wide rear tires, the GT2 is able to harness this power and hit 62 mph in under 4 seconds. Oh yeah, this power also allows the car to hit a top speed of 198 miles per hour. If things get too fast, just mash on the standard ceramic composite brakes and things will slow down in a hurry. Even with all this power, the 911 GT2 still manages to achieve a LEV emissions rating. Wow.

911 Turbo S
This 911 isn't as bad-*** as the GT2, but we can't think of anyone that would be bummed to have 'just' a Turbo S. The Turbo S also has a 3.6 liter flat-six, but it has to make-do with 'just' 450 horses. However, the Turbo S does have the same torque rating as the GT2, so the Turbo S should at least it accelerate quickly. And it does! Porsche claims that the Turbo S can hit sixty in about 4.2 seconds. Top speed is said to be 191 mph. Of course, the Turbo S has ceramic composite brakes to help slow the car in a hurry.

997
The 997 is the newest 911. Huh? What? Too many numbers... Makes our heads hurt... Must... move on... talk about... power...

The 997 comes powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.8 liter flat six, and the Carrera 3.8S version pumps out 350 horsepower. Hmm... after talking about the Turbo S and GT2, the standard 997 just doesn't sound as exciting. We'd still take one in a heartbeat, though. Let's move on.

Carrera GT
Ahh... This is more like it. The Carrera GT is Porsche's supercar. As if the 'standard' Porsches didn't offer enough performance, the Stuttgart-based company had to go and top itself. We'll not waste any time and just get to the juicy details: 5.5 liter V10 engine, 605 horsepower, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, 205 mph top speed. Oh yeah, it costs more money than any of us will ever see in our lifetimes...

Cayman
We can sum up this car by saying that the Cayman is more-or-less a Boxter coupe. It's easy for us to say that Boxters (at least the original ones) are for women, and the Cayman may very well be a woman's car. However, that would be doing this car a great disservice. The Cayman sits right between the Boxter and 911 in Porsche's line-up. It has more power than the Boxter, but less than the 911. It can lap the Nurburgring faster than the Boxter, but not as fast as the 911. It's more expensive than the Boxter, but cheaper than the 911. We can go on and on, but the holidays are coming, and we're lazy. From what we hear though, the Cayman is the best bang-for-the-buck car in Porsche's stable. Even the grouchy auto journalist veterans seem to like the Cayman more than the 911. Hmmm... We'll have to grab one of these and see for ourselves...

That's it for today. We'll be back with more cars from Need For Speed: Most Wanted. We still have some Euro hot hatches, exotics and more to get through. Hopefully we can unlock them all before the holiday weekend ends. Something tells us that the only way we will ever be able to drive a Porsche is if we play it in this game...</div>
