Open for Business!

Ok now that we've been open for business for a day or so publicly, does anyone have any feedback on the site? I know I still have some work to do, but looking for ways to make it better and want to make sure we are meeting the needs of the Cayman Club community!

Feedback appreciated!

Couple of quick issues I noticed:

There need to be more 'new user sign-up' links. There should be one on every page with a log-on box. It took me quite a while to actually find the sign-up page. I received a lot of pop-up error messages saying I wasn't logged-in, but those didn't help finding the sign-up. Luckily, I did finally find it on the main page. . .

Secondly, pop-up windows are not sized correctly. The window is too small or the formatting within is too wide. Have to expand the window to read the error message.

K-Man S,

Thanks for the site - I think it runs prett well - one thing I noticed is that I have to hit the back key twice to get from a message back to the forum topic page - any reason for this ? Thanks

Carlton and Rick,

Carlton first - I know there is an issue with page sizing in pop-ups, I need to dig in and find out what is going on, appears to be a CSS problem, I'll find the culprit eventually. If you want to see how it is supposed to work check out www.kcrpca.org

Rick - The double back button issue involves the editor, FCKEditor is working on a fix for this and their next version due out soon will hopefully rectify the problem. In essence what is happening is that one link is set up to load the editor then another to work in the editor, hence the double back button to get back where you want to be. Again, only affects the forum on pages where the editor shows up.

I appreciate you guys bringing this stuff to my attention, even if I know about it already, keeps me on my toes!

FYI the sizing for pop-up windows has been fixed. Along with a couple of other little nits.

I think you've done an excellent job and site looks pretty darn good right 'out of the box'. Once the car is actually introduced I think there is a real potential to grow.

This is by far the best site that I have come across in terms of material, articles, and general chat about the Cayman. Prior to finding this site, I must say that I was surprised by the general lack of information that there is on the 'net in relation to the Cayman, and the site can only get better as more and more people stumble across the site, and actually start taking delivery of their new machines.

Keep up the good work!
