How About Adding A Wallpaper Gallery?

I have noticed that most of the pictures being posted since the site moved are almost all very small. I don't know if the forum software is doing that or if people are just posting smaller pics.

I would love to see many of the pics here in a wallpaper size (at least 1600x1200). Most pictures that size can still be made to fall under the 1000k limit. Or maybe the limit should have an exception for wallpaper type pictures.

How about adding a separate area to the Gallery specifically for pictures that people consider "wallpaper worthy"?

I don't read every post, so maybe this has been discussed before. If so, please point me to the discussion.

Roy,

Images that go to the gallery are reduced to a 500 by 'X' depending on whether it is horizontal or vertical. Images that go to the forum are scaled only if the user scales them.

What I would ask is that someone could create a topic in the Forum called: Wallpaper Photos High Bandwidth

Then post their images full size in that thread, but people would understand that it will be slow to load because the images are wallpaper sized not scaled down. We also have to be understanding of the load on the server.

Before the new server was available, the uploaded photos were not scaled. I assume that this is controlled by a configuration for the application hosting CaymanClub? Recognizing that bandwidth is a finite resource this might not be practical to change.

Actually it was there all along but just not kicked in correctly until after the server move. That being said, I don't mind hosting some larger wallpaper images but I can't do it in the gallery since it is an all or nothing scaling. It can happen in the forum, or in the Files section where there already exists wallpapers and that would be my preference for people to put them there...

The files section makes sense, especially because it is already setup.
