It's a little eerie since you guys have backed out of posting pretty well since last night/early this morning. Not eerie good or eerie bad, just unusual. A different dynamic - I don't know how you are observing the change but it's good what you are trying just to see the difference.
I applaud you for challenging yourselves (and us rowdy members to self moderate - to a degree!). If you come back into the 'room' I will buy you all a virtual beer. Here's one to start.
My own opinion? I feel a little more relaxed to be honest - sorta of like when the parents are out of the house when you were younger. But, you're always glad to see them come home eventually!

uh, what are you talking about? Strike? sorry, that's a stupid term. You know, it's the first weekend in May, and down here in the lower 48, it's the heart of the racing season... I have no idea what my fellow moderators are doing, but I'm working from o-dark-thirty to dusk for the weekend as the chief scrutineer at the PCA Club Race being hosted by the Las Vegas region of PCA. Yesterday, I did several full new-logbook techs on race cars, including two 997 GT3 Cup cars and and a 996-based GT3RS race car.
Maybe the others are out driving their cars, maybe some are on vacation, or maybe we're tired of dealing with BS posts like this, that point out the constant type of "office politics" that a post like this engenders - including your pejorative use of the word "strike" in the title. I'm personally offended, by your use of the term, and even if i wasn't a moderator, I honestly find your and other's seeming insatiable need to politicize the inner workings of the Cayman Club to be particularly wearisome. It's a goddamn website about cars and a place I want to come to get away from the BS politics that seems to be in every nook and cranny of life these days. this just makes it much less fun to visit. Really, if you don't like the way things work, start your own - if you truly build a better mousetrap, the world will follow.
I can assure you, we're not on strike - You really know nothing about what's going on here, so please - stop acting like such a know-it-all and stop worrying so much about the inner workings of the Cayman Club and go out and drive your nice car.
I gotta leave for the track...

I don't think anyone is on strike, I for one am out of town again with limited access to the site, and as Beez said the weather has gotten nice so folks are outdoors more, doing events, etc. and thanks for the Mother's Day reminder, gotta go shopping too!
I read the first post and was like WTF.....did I miss something? I have not noticed any dip in postings....nor have I noticed any absence of moderators.
I want to ask WTH topics like this come from, but that would only promote it.
So I will just say, things seem to be sailing along nicely from my view.

Woaah! I put smilies and cheers in my post based on an observation and get loaded on like this?
I would like to strongly suggest to Ken that this thread be closed and, if possible, totally deleted.
Just about every forum rule was broken by the beez's post and if my sense of humour didn't come through, along with what I was seeing that was interesting (I checked - just about all the moderators had not replied for many hours - which is unusual) than I am at a loss to describe the reaction. Better to can the thread imo.
And I am not even going to support filahebe's advice for fear of being further judged for being two faced, stupid or whatever.
