Those little flag emblems to tell us which country a person is from are a constant (if minor) source of irritation to me. I would much rather just have the country name spelt out. OK the usual flags are obvious (ie. USA, GB, Canada) but there are several which tell me nothing and I don't want to spend time looking them up. Additionally it would be impossible to tell if someone was from Australia or New Zealand as the only difference between those flags is the number of small white stars (which are indecipherable at the size they are displayed). Am I the only one annoyed by this? What about it Ken?
I love seeing these vivid examples of man's never ending pursuit for knowledge. Ruffnut, you sure you are not really an American? Maybe you never checked your passport?

The only thing that I find......err annoying is when lets say you have a Englishman that displays a flag from errr Holland (Karel..!!) or an American who displays a Welsh flag which can be rather confusing and it's only when you see his state that you realise that he may well be from Welsh origins living in America or he just likes the dragon on the flag....well I'm sure you get my drift..................????

Ruffnut, I don't mean disrespect to you, but for someone who has superior EU K12 education, you should not be making comments like that. I would expect comment like that out of someone in US, where geography is not the class they put too much focus into.
P.S. I do think that US has better higher education, but EU got US beat in K12 any day.

Oops Apsinkus.......... Australia is NOT in Europe (or am I mistaken?)
Anyway I now know the Lithuanian Flag....................!
Do not forget that in the Past - Europe sent all of it's Misfits to the USA to populate the 'New World'.
And also unfortunately England, sent all of it's Convicts to Australia - Hence the difference in attitudes of the population..........
On my last visa application to Australia there was an odd question.
Do you have a Criminal Record? I answered that I did not realise that it was a 'requirement of entry' to Australia anymore...... And I was sorry that the only Criminal Record I had was 'Des O'Connor's Greatest Hits' - which I rarely Played..............
And as for Tess Tickle - We always 'Get your Drift' Having followed you on the Track - Your Drift is always Impressive!

If you are a foreign national living in another country what should you do. I'm English living in California so I indicate that the best way the system allows or should I wave the US flag as that's where I live for now. I don't believe there is a rule for this.
Frankly I'm proud to be British.

Sorry Tess Tickle,
Having reviewed your post I guess you are suggesting that if UK citizen living in US that we should display Union Jack, in that case I guess I'm doing the right thing in your opinion. If otherwise then I stand behind my original post.

I'm constantly surprised that no one else at this site flies the same flag as I do.
No Wonder you can afford a Porsche Cayman as you do not pay any taxes.... The driving on the islands is a bit limited though - probably the maximum speed you can do is 40 - 45 MPH?
