Teamspeak

I was wondering if Ken or someone could set up a teamspeak server with different channels that are quasi-related to the main forum threads. I dunno if people would use it, but it's free and it seems like sometimes chatting with someone is easier/clearer than trying to decypher their post.

Just a thought.

While that is not necessarily a bad idea, if you get yo many people in one channel trying to have different conversations if can get overwhelming fast. Another alternative though would be an irc channel for real time chatting.

And of course None of what is discussed gets captured for those who aren't there at the time of the conversation. For example someone comes up with a fix, like the motorsports VOS, what if they just communicated that in IRC or TeamSpeak and never posted the info or did an article? Then other members would not be helped. So I don't want to set up a replacement for forums where the information cannot be captured and shared with others. What I would consider would be a defined time for a Chat Room where the conversation is logged and reposted in the forum, that way people could talk live (via chat typing) but the information would still be captured and shared in the forums.

The above link can be used to convert irc log files (past, present and future) into an HTML page (which can then be searched and referenced).
