Apologies for the downtime, happened while I was away at parade took a little time to correct. The good news is that the ISP is looking at transitioning us to a different server that shouldn't have the problem that seems to be cropping up about every 60 days or so, which should also mean a performance boost too I hope.

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programming!

Apologies I spoke too soon earlier today, one item wasn't completed which took the site back down until it could be complete and of course I am away so my time to work on it with the ISP was also limited. Fingers crossed that for the time being we are back at 100% and hopefully will be doing an upgrade soon, just gotta find the $$.

yeah, the down time was pretty scary, i thought the chinese government has tracked me down and banned the site in china.

Thanks for the donations and yes they are cumulative for awards but where I track that is at home so I won't be able to handle any of that until I get back from parade. So far the site seems to be running fine and I am expecting a call from the ISP today to go over the planned server upgrade.

Have never liked going through withdrawal. Even for a short time

APologies once again for downtime, this time it was caused by popularity and the number of users overwhelming the connections to the database and bringing the server to a crawl. Not a bad problem to have per se, but I've asked the ISP to step up getting us a new server because we are rapidly outgrowing this one. In the last month we've gone from 1.1M page views to 1.7M page views and the extra traffic is really starting to impact the server.

We made some changes to try to alleviate some drag on the server until the new hardware is installed, but if the site should go down again please just be patient with us and trust it will be back up soon!

Another worthwhile Cayman modification. The new server modification must be good for an additional 25-30 HP, Can't wait to see the dyno sheets!!!
