Ok I investigated and determined that what is happening is that there is a unique situation with that thread where some messages in it are hidden from view so the actual displayable # of messages fits on 4 pages, however, the true total number of messages is enough to make 5 pages if those were un-hidden. This is common when items get deleted by an admin so that they don't show up but are in fact still there. I believe the true total # of messages is 82 (4x20 +2) but the displayable messages is less than that. Evidently the way the site shows it to an admin is different from how it is shown to a regular member. No cause for alarm but an interesting anomaly...
