OMG is it me or is the Cayman Club site slooooow?

Seriously. I've accessed this site from different computers that have high speed connections but it has been taking forever to make posts and even browse the forums here. It has been getting downright annoying to be quite honest. Is there something going on with the site's server or bandwidth?

Guys as I've said all along we are investing in new software which should solve any speed issues, but speed can sometimes be related to your connection to the server as well as whatever the server is currently doing. Right now at this instant it is very speedy for me. YMMV.

No speed problems here, either.

Maybe you guys need new computers or computers with less or no porn. I open 20-30 threads simultaneously on Firefox (a lot of tabs) and everything's crisp. I'm on wireless too.

I understand but I'm sure it's not my server connection as I can freely access any other site at blazing speeds. I figured it was an overload on your site's server, especially in the middle of the afternoon. I'll look forward to the new software and hope it will resolve this matter.

On a side note, I'm a noob here but I really like the way this website is setup. All of the links and the flow of how everything fits together is terrific. Keep up the great job K-man! I was just wondering if it was me experiencing the bogging issues. I haven't been here long so I didn't know this was a widespread matter.

LOL! I'll have to erase all the porn and measure the results.

I have tried from multiple portals and computers and all have been very slow - slow enough to prevent a posting taking sometimes up to 30sec to load a page. (most other pages load very quick during that same time on each computer) I hope it will get better, it is a great resource, one that I hope to keep using as long as the speed gets better.

It seems to me that when about 45 users and a bunch of guests are on it gets pretty darn slow. Think how many simultaneous searches or active topic computations the server is getting requests for. That plus other internet traffic on the same server or on the general bandwidth would be the primary reason for slowness. I don't think porn or the browser used usually have much to do with how fast it the site is for me. Mostly it seems to be a total users volume problem - that's what I think anyway.

Yeah, that's exactly my feeling. It seems there is an overload on the existing server for this site.
