Firefox locking up...

Has any one been experiencing browser lock-up with Firefox lately on Cayman Club’s forums?

Hey zornet,

I use Firefox on a mac (os 10.4.1) and ir locks up at least two to three times a session, ususally while trying to lead some of the larger pictures that people post in the forums... I just force quit and restart... I have no troubles on anything else on the Web, so my guess is it doesn't need to be reinstalled.

beez,

That’s exactly what goes on with my Firefox and XP. I’ve been making an exception with using IE for the Cayman Club and have a shortcut to the CC with IE on my desktop.

My FireFox on XP works just fine, make sure you have the latest version of FireFox, that might help.

My FireFox also locks up only when browsing on this site. My XP Pro and FoxFire are up to date and do not experience this problem on any other site. Any clues?

I just checked and found that there is a newer version of FireFox. I updated and so far it has resolved the problem.

I've not had Firefox lock up on the PC or mac, but also have been using latest versions.

Firefox 1.0.7 on XP had never locked up on this site.

In which area does it lock up for you?

Hi Everyone

YES the older versions of Firefox would very often crash/lock-up and also not very often be successfull when using the Back Button.

YES it would only do it on this site.

YES it was worse when uploading pages with lots or large images.

Go to Firefox and update to the latest browser version. I believe it might even be down as a Beta version.

Since I updated (around 2-3 weeks ago) I have had ZERO lock-ups and the Back button works every time.

Jack
