Toronto Meet'N'Greet

Well it looks as if we're in for some nice weather finally, so it might be a good opportunity to meet some of the Toronto area Cayman owners.

We could meet on a Sunday morning and grab a coffee and talk Caymans, than go for a light spirited drive.

A good place to meet would be out in Mississauga in one of the box stores parking lots, than a drive to the forks.

This is just a suggestion.
So feel free to throw out differant locations.

What do you guys think?

BTW, nice meeting you Grasshopper and jimmyv on the tint day!!

webbie,

have you been to any of their meets?
Are these meets open to ALL Porsche cars or just 911's?

I'm in for a weeknight, but weekends are a sob for me. My 2 cents, might not be worth much.

@cayman_ess, I've never been there myself.

A trackside meet would be good for me

All Porsches are welcome. Though it's the Porsche Rennlist group meet we also have Vettes and the odd Ferrari that show up.

jumper,

i take it that you have gone to these meets.
Where exactly is the meet and how many Pcars would i expect to see on any given Sat?
Do they just chat cars in the parking lot or is there a drive as well?

Yes I have been to quite a few.

Depending on the weather and since it is now sumertime 10-20 cars show up.
If it rains you can count on proabably 4 people showing up and chatting around a table in starbucks.
We have not went for a drive yet this year, though I have went out with the vette guys and I am sure some of the guys would like to do a drive. Its just getting them organized to do it. Actually we did go out for a drive last fall with a few people and we did do a go-cart event in the winter.

Location of the GTG is every Saturday at 10:00 am -12:00 pm for an informal get together. People show up early and poeple show up late.
Chapter's/Starbucks across from Sherway Gardens Mall on the Queensway between Hwy 427 & The West Mall.
We gather in the parking lot behind the Chapter's/Starbucks; less visible from the street but we are able to park together.

I was there today, only Cayman. over two dozen Porsches and a few Vettes and a Maserati. Good easy going group and they had a Zaino demonstration. Recommended.
It would be nice to overwhelm them with ALL of the Toronto Caymans some Saturday!
