dealers, prices around boston?

I'm thinking pretty hard about an 07 C or CS (to upgrade my 14 yro saturn!), and am in eastern massachusetts. Based on comments from the net and some off-net, my dealer list is:

ira: several positives, no negatives
claire: positive on net, but not many comments
chambers: some say 'attitude', a friend at work got his 911 there and likes them but said to mention his name when i went in to avoid attitude
burlington: have heard very little, and don't have a good feeling but don't know why

nashua, fathers/sons: probably too far away.

Any comments on the above list would be appreciated. (The other thread is region-wide and I really won't want to get a car from NY.)

Separately: what are the real prices now and in boston? Chambers says "up to 7K off in-stock CS until 6/30", and I've in general heard 8%/$5K off MSRP. This is still above invoice, which seems to be $8K below MSRP for a CS.

Right now it seems Ira has 2 CS, Chambers 7 and Claire 5, or something like that. Is that a lot or a little from their viewpoint?

How easy/willing is it to have one dealer get a car from another?

I've heard that discounts aren't as good if a dealer has to trade with another dealer for you. Clair has been very good to me. See Mike Lookner the sales manager, you can tell him I told you to see him. Probably the best car purchasing experience I've ever had. Everyone at the dealership has been very good to me .

bought at Ira

I bought a silver non-S with very few options at Ira from Chris Husband. I also talked to Clair (Mike Lookner, recommended by someone from this site), and a friend called Herb Chambers Burlington for quotes. Initial quotes on non-S were 3500, 4200, and 5170 off MSRP. In the end I got a price from Ira that was better than any of those. I was happy with Ira - the only negatives were a $195 "processing fee" which I imagine is pretty standard (but the price was low enough I didn't care), and being given a "today only" price last Saturday, with the explanation that this MOnday was 2008 allocation day and the more 07s they had sold the more 08s they could get. The today only bit seems bogus, and consumer reports advises running away if you encounter it, but I knew the price situation, the price was excellent, and I was otherwise ready, so I took it. In the end I thought Ira was a good place to have bought the car.

PM me for email and direct phone for Chris Husband at Ira (I would recommend him specifically).

Thanks to everyone who PMed me with informaiton.
